We also had delivered and then spread 20 tonnes of gravel to <strong>create a car park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;3.19.14&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_9\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-12616 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/oldchapelcafe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Image-25-02-2019-at-08.53-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>This allowed us to convert and park up our family campervan \u2018Rodders\u2019 to create a <strong>pop-up cafe<\/strong> on the car park. With the help of a small charity Roots we were able to buy a generator and gazebo and\u00a0The Chapel pop-up Cafe was born!<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;3.19.14&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-12619 size-thumbnail alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/oldchapelcafe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Image-25-02-2019-at-08.51-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>It ran for <strong>11 weekends<\/strong>, we raised over <strong>\u00a31500<\/strong>\u00a0but more importantly we engaged with\u00a0<strong>740 people<\/strong> who came, shared their ideas, ate cake, built community, volunteered&#8230;.and in one case adopted a passing cockatiel!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;3.19.14&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-97 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/oldchapelcafe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_9740-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>We had <strong>locals, cyclists, dog walkers and even cross country land skiers<\/strong> who all came to show support and share in our dreams. It was a really special time where friendships and plans for what could happen in The Old Chapel in the future were made. It should be noted how much easier this was made by the unusually hot and sunny British summer of 2018! <strong>Monthly events<\/strong> were run up to Christmas, where we did indeed discover the that colder weather was not so conducive to alfresco dining.<\/p>\n<p><em>Joy &amp;
