Croeso. Welcome, to The Old Chapel Cafe.

You are of enormous value

We believe you should be able to understand your value, and how by being involved and exploring the things you’re passionate about, you can make a real difference not only to yourself, but the community and the wider world. Welcome to The Old Chapel Cafe.

Working with the local community

Over the past few years, we have been working with the local community to support them in developing much needed services and activities in the area and use their skills to make a difference for themselves and those around them.

Creating the space

The current renovation will provide a physical space for local groups to develop, supporting new initiatives that will benefit the local community. Check out our current live projects.  Join us on Facebook and Instagram

Butterflies please! Big, small, any colour! Get involved and help Ann Williams make a huge drift of them on the Chapel walls!!!! 🦋 #yes2ideas #cafebutterflies
Ann says: "Great to see the Cafe space nearly finished! I've been thinking about the Art Group and have an idea for a big drift of butterflies to flow up and over one of the walls. Bright colours, all shapes and sizes. Painted, collage, stamps, stickers....millions of butterflies! Whilst we're waiting to meet, why not (please!) let your inspiration run wild and make a few butterflies to be included 🦋🦋🦋'"

Everything deserves a chance to play its part and make a difference. This project is about refurbishing, up cycling and renovating objects and giving them the opportunity to be used and appreciated. It’s also about allowing different people to offer different gifts they have to make a difference in the world simple by being themselves and playing a part. #yes2ideas

Great idea!

The Old Chapel Cafe will be serving great homemade cake, snacks and awesome coffee again some day!  when you’ll be able to pop down and chill out, maybe join in with an activity or learn something new! A space to gather to meet and experiment with the things you love to do and new ideas you want to try out… If you want to look into starting a new group or business with a strong community benefit you’ll  be able to hire space for too!.

Set in the vibrant community of Saltney Ferry, in North Wales, and close to the River Dee cycle pathway, The Old Chapel Cafe will be ideally placed in every way to offer a warm welcome and a memorable visit not only to the locals but also the cycling and walking communities travelling through the area.
